In a stunning finale played just an hour ago at the Capital’s cricket ground, Samtse Cricket Club (Samtse CC) etched their name into Bhutan’s cricketing history books by lifting their first-ever Bhutan Cricket Super 50 Championship, defeating tournament favorites Dragon Strikers by 7 wickets.

17-year-old Thinley Jamtsho, captain of Bhutan’s U18 Baseball National Team, is set to represent the country at the prestigious MLB China Development Center Summer League 2025. From his early days in the U15 league to leading the U18 national squad, Thinley’s journey reflects the growing spirit of baseball in Bhutan. His selection marks a historic milestone for the sport in the country.
