Bhutan debuted in the Children of Asia Games in 2016, sending a delegation of young athletes to compete in different disciplines. The participation aimed to provide Bhutanese youth with exposure to international sporting events, helping them gain experience, improve their skills, and represent the country on a larger platform.
The 2016 Children of Asia Games were held in Yakutsk, Russia from July 5 to July 17, 2016. This edition marked the 6th installment of the Games, bringing together young athletes from across Asia to compete in various sports while promoting friendship, cultural exchange, and Olympic values.
