Bhutan Boxing Federation Welcomes Cuban Experts to Strengthen Its Progress

The Bhutan Olympic Committee (BOC) is pleased to acknowledge the arrival of Mr. Ravi Raj Rai, the newly appointed Technical Director, and Mr. Norvies Sanchez Nunez from Cuba, who will serve as the Head Coach for the Bhutan Boxing Federation (BBF). Their appointments mark an important milestone in the ongoing initiative to strengthen and professionalize Bhutan’s national boxing program.

The Cuban experts officially received this afternoon will serve under a one-year contractual engagement, during which they will provide advanced training, technical supervision, and capacity-building support to Bhutan’s national boxing athletes and coaching staff.

The Bhutan Olympic Committee commends the Bhutan Boxing Federation for this proactive initiative and firmly believes that the technical expertise and international experience brought by the Cuban professionals will greatly enhance the growth of boxing in Bhutan.

This collaboration represents a significant step toward building a stronger and more competitive boxing program, one that inspires our young athletes to achieve new heights at regional and international levels.
