The President of the 2014 Incheon Asian Games Organising Committee, Kim Young Soo, said the attention of the sports world had switched from London to Incheon now the dust has settled on the 2012 Olympic Games. Bhutan Olympic Committee New Logo launched ! The BOC logo portrays the Olympic spirit through the dragon’s icon. The Dragon is moving and aspiring for excellence through sports for all. The Golden Dragon signifies prosperity and success. The concept of color jewels in each arm signifies the Olympic colors in union with our Bhutanese Olympic symbol, the dragon. The yellow and orange stripes nested in-between the dragon and the Olympic rings, runs in the back representing our national identity, the Bhutan Flag. The typeface has been selected to be simple, clear and complimenting the design. The Olympic symbol consists of five interlaced rings of equal dimensions expressing the activity of Olympic movement and represents the union of the five continents and the meetings of athletes from throughout the world. The logo in its entirety, brings a style of dynamism and high spirit.

Silver Jubilee Coronation Archery Tournament in Compound bow

The Bhutan Indigenous Games and Sports Association (BIGSA)/Bhutan Olympic Committee are pleased to announce the organization of the Silver Jubilee Coronation Archery Tournament in Compound bow with effect from 2nd June, 2012 with the final to be played some time in July 2012. Teams interested in participating in the above tournament are requested to register with the BIGSA by 31st May, 2012 not later than 2:00pm along with the names and ID Photo copy of the players and with an entry fee of Nu.10,000/-. A meeting of the team captains will be held at BIGSA canteen at Changlingmethang at 2:30pm and on the same day to draw up the fixture .
