Beyond the Games: Why the Asian Youth Games Matter to Bhutan’s Young Athletes

Competing across six sports—Taekwondo, Boxing, Muay, Swimming, Athletics, and Judo—Bhutan’s young athletes showcased not only their skill but also the nation’s enduring spirit of resilience and unity. For many, it was their first step onto the international stage, carrying Bhutan’s flag with pride and determination.

With the next edition set for Tashkent, Uzbekistan in 2029, Bhutan looks ahead with renewed passion, ready to build on the experience and spirit ignited in Bahrain.
