Sports super power China has pulled away at the top of the medal rankings with only two days remaining of the 4th Asian Indoor and Martial Arts Games. With 70 of the 100 gold medals decided, China leads the way with 24 gold, followed by host Korea with 16. Thailand has seven gold medals in third place, ahead of Kazakhstan with six.
Vietnam is fifth with four gold medals. A total of 14 NOCs have won gold medals, and 27 of the 44 NOCs here have at least one medal.
China is ranked second in total medals with 44 (24 gold, 10 silver and 10 bronze), behind Korea on 49 (16-21-12).
China’s 24 gold medals have come from Baduk (2), Billiard Sports (2), Chess (2), Dance Sport (4) and Swimming (14).
