Bhutan Announces Compound Archery Squad for
Asian Games Aichi-Nagoya 2026

The Bhutan Olympic Committee has officially announced the selection of four compound archers who will represent Team Bhutan at the 20th Asian Games Aichi-Nagoya 2026. The selected athletes are Tandin Dorji, Tshetrim Gaytshey, Kezang Norbu, and Dorji Dolma.

The selection follows a series of national trials and evaluations, alongside the athletes’ consistent performances in international competitions on the Asian circuit. The quartet has been recognized for their technical strength, discipline, and growing experience at the continental level, where Bhutan’s compound archery program has shown steady progress in recent years.

Among the selected, Tandin Dorji stands out as one of Bhutan’s most experienced compound archers, having represented the country in multiple international events and established himself as a key figure in Bhutan’s development in the discipline. His consistency and composure in high-pressure matches have made him a core member of the national setup over the years.

Dorji Dolma continues to be one of Bhutan’s leading female compound archers, with several international appearances including Asia Cup competitions. She has demonstrated the ability to compete strongly against higher-ranked opponents and remains an important presence in Bhutan’s mixed and women’s compound events.

Kezang Norbu and Tshetrim Gaytshey represent the emerging strength of Bhutan’s compound archery pipeline. Both athletes have gained valuable exposure through Asian-level competitions, contributing to team events and strengthening Bhutan’s depth in the discipline.

With this selection, Bhutan aims to build on its growing momentum in compound archery as it prepares to compete against Asia’s leading archery nations at the Asian Games Aichi-Nagoya 2026.

The Bhutan Olympic Committee expressed confidence that the selected athletes will carry the nation’s hopes with determination, discipline, and pride on the continental stage.
