Top 20 Seeded players for the year 2014 on Traditional equipment

The Bhutan Indigenous Games & Sports Association (BIGSA) is pleased to announce the following list of Top 20 Seeded players for the year 2014 on Traditional equipment. The ranking of the Traditional archers have been based on the average individual kary hits made in 40 rounds and above in either JDWNAT or DWNAT held in 2013. It will be valid for one year and only 2 seeded players shall be allowed to take part in each team in the National Archery Tournaments held in the successive year. General Secretary BIGSA

DANTAK Open Mountain Bike Race – 2014

DANTAK Open Mountain Bike Race was first organized in April 2011 to commemorate the Golden Jubilee of Project DANTAK. The Race has now become an annual affair and attracts large participation from people of all age groups. This race is organized in collaboration with the Bhutan Olympic Committee and other Departments of the Royal Government of Bhutan. The route for the race is Thimphu-Paro-Thimphu, which covers approx. a distance of 100 kms (Starting from Changlimithan Parking and finishing at the Clock Tower Square, Thimphu). 17th Executive Committee Meeting

The Bhutan Olympic Committee conducted its 17th Executive Committee Meeting, on 10th December 2013, at Terma Linca Resort, Thimphu. The Meeting was attended by Presidents and General Secretary of fifteen National Sports Federations along with the officials from the Bhutan Olympic Committee. The meeting reviewed the achievements of National Sports Federations and the BOC in the past one year. It also  considered approaches for improved delivery of sports programs in the coming year. The Executive Committee also considered strategic initiatives to enable sustainability of the sports programs, transparent planning and reporting mechanisms as well as proposals to bring about robust systems in the overall governance among others.
