To celebrate the Birth Anniversary of the Druk Gyalpo, King Jigme Khesar Namgyel Wangchuck, the BOC in partner with Pelkhil and Nima Higher Secondary Schools would like to announce the following scholarships for the academic year 2012.

1. Pelkhil – BOC, no. of scholarship 2, class X pass (55%), 1 each for basketball and football.
2. Nima – BOC, no. of scholarship 2, class X pass (55%), For all sports.

Applicants who meet the scholarship criteria may apply. Application forms can be collected from the BOC office in Changlimethang from the 20th of February. Last date of submission of application is on the 29th of Febrauary.

The BOC in partnership with the Royal Thimphu College signed a Memorandum of Understanding, “BOC-RTC Sports Scholarship Program” which will encourage deserving young sports persons and give them an opportunity to pursue their academic dreams, while also simultaneously enabling them to participate actively in sports. The BOC and RTC have jointly agreed to provide SIX sports scholarships per annum to students who demonstrated the highest level of sporting achievement and sportsmanship.
