A delegation from the 12th South Asian Games has visited Bhutan from 14th to 17th January, 2016. Mr. Namdev S. Shirgaonker, Executive Council Member, Indian Olympic Association, officially invited the National Olympic Committee of Bhutan to participate. The delegate also gave a brief progress update and general information on the Games.

The official ceremony was attended by the Bhutan Olympic Committee and the National Sports Federations who will be participating in the 12th South Asian Games, which is scheduled from 5th to 16th February, 2016.
