Lilly Yangchen was caught by surprise when her School Principal announced in the morning assembly to come in front of the entire school to come collect her invitation for the Asian Youth Games in Nanjing China from the Secretary General of the Bhutan Olympic Committee, Sonam Karma Tshering.
The Bhutan Olympic Committee’s Secretary General congratulated Lilly Yangchen on behalf of the Olympic Councicl of Asia and Gyaltshab and the President of the Bhutan Olympic Committee, HRH Prince Jigyel Ugyen Wangchuck on winning the Youth Reporter Project which was conducted on the 23rd of February in 2013.

The Olympic Council of Asia (OCA) had written to the Bhutan Olympic Committee inviting Lilly and her accompanied guest to attend the 2nd Asian Youth Games in Nanjing China from the 16th to the 24th of August, 2013.

“I am so happy right now, I’ll probably take my father as the accompanied guest. I can’t wait to go to China and witness the Asian Youth Games” says Lilly.
The Nanjing Asian Youth Game will serve as a platform for Lilly to get to know how the media department and the team at major sports gala works.

The OCA will bear all expenses for both Lilly and her guest for the trip.
