Her Majesty the Queen Mother Tseyring Pem Wangchuck Graces and Inaugurates the Reopening of Thimphu’s Historic Thimphu Basketball Center
Her Majesty the Queen Mother Tshering Pem Wangchuck graced and inaugurated the newly renovated Thimphu Basketball Center on 25 November 2025, marking a significant milestone for Bhutan’s sporting community. Originally built in the early 1970s, the historic center has now been fully upgraded with modern, accessible, and inclusive amenities through a joint initiative between the Bhutan Foundation and the Basketball Federation of Bhutan.
