First-Ever Private Sector Engagement Session on Commercial Opportunities in Sports Concludes Successfully
The first-ever Private Sector Engagement Session on Commercial Opportunities in Sports, organised by Bhutan Sports Ventures in collaboration with the Bhutan Olympic Committee, concluded successfully today at the BOC Hall.
More than 50 participants from various sectors, including private business owners, corporate houses, sports federations, and other stakeholders, attended the session to discuss the growing opportunities within Bhutan’s sports sector.
The session focused on creating stronger collaboration between the sports industry and the private sector, while also exploring new commercial possibilities emerging in Bhutanese sports.
Participants took part in open discussions on sponsorship, partnerships, branding, event support, and the future role of businesses in sports development. The session also introduced the vision and role of Bhutan Sports Ventures, which was recently established under the National Sports Ecosystem Upgrade Agenda launched earlier this year.
The session was conducted as an interactive two-way engagement, where participants were encouraged to openly share their ideas, concerns, and questions. The atmosphere remained comfortable and engaging throughout the session, allowing for active networking and productive discussions among participants and organisers.
Many attendees showed strong interest in understanding how the private sector can contribute to and benefit from the country’s growing sports ecosystem. Feedback and suggestions shared during the discussions were noted and will help guide future initiatives and collaborations.
The session marked an important step towards building stronger partnerships between sports organisations and the business community in Bhutan.
