WE Spikers Retain National Volleyball Crown with Dominant Win
The 2025 National Federation Volleyball League came to an electrifying conclusion at the Thimphu Open Basketball Court in Changlimithang, where the final was played on 19th October. The venue buzzed with excitement as WE Spikers Volleyball Club successfully defended their title, defeating DrukPol VC in straight sets to be crowned champions once again.
In a highly anticipated final, WE Spikers showcased sheer dominance — sharp serves, powerful spikes, and flawless coordination — sealing the match with an emphatic 3–0 victory. The win not only reaffirmed their status as defending champions from 2024 but also highlighted their remarkable consistency and teamwork in Bhutan’s volleyball arena.
Earlier in the day, the third-place playoff saw Tensung VC edge out BVBF Academy to claim third position, thanks to their strong defense and unyielding determination.
The tournament concluded with the presentation of individual awards, honoring standout performances throughout the league:
Best Setter: Tshering Drukpa (DrukPol VC)
🏐 Best Outside Hitter: Aryan (WE Spikers VC)
🏐 Best Middle Blockers: Yonten Nima (DrukPol VC) and Tshering Dorji (Tensung VC)
🏐 Best Opposite Hitter: Ugyen Tobgay (BVBF Academy)
🏐 Most Emerging Player: Kuenzang Thinley Tobgay (BVBF Academy) – only 15 years old
🏐 Most Valuable Player (MVP): Aryan (WE Spikers VC)
