Thimphu, April 17 — The two-day Athletes 365 Workshop, organized by the Athletes Commission of Bhutan in collaboration with the Bhutan Olympic Committee (BOC) and supported by Athlete365, successfully concluded today in Thimphu. The workshop aimed to empower athletes from various sports federations and associations with essential life skills, including self-discovery and CV writing.
Zimpon Wom Sonam Thinley, Chairperson of the Athletes’ Commission of Bhutan, emphasized the importance of such initiatives. He also congratulated all participants for their time, dedication, and interest in being part of the program.

Day 2 of the program began with an engaging CV/Resume Module led by Mrs. Jovina Choo Bei Fen. The session was divided into three parts:

This was followed by “Rise Above the Competition,” which focused on crafting impactful CVs that stand out, and “What Works and What Doesn’t,” highlighting the dos and don’ts in modern resume writing.
- Session II, titled “Break it Down,” took a deep dive into the key components of a CV, including how to structure the summary and experience sections. The session concluded with “Final Touches,” a comprehensive checklist to ensure each resume is polished and professional, and “Door Opener,” which offered practical tips for writing compelling cover letters.
- Session III centered on the theme of Safe Sports, presented by Mr. Tshering Penjor, Assistant Program Officer at the Bhutan Olympic Committee. He emphasized the significance of maintaining a safe and respectful environment in sports for both athletes and coaches. The session highlighted the responsibilities of all stakeholders in fostering a culture of safety in sports.
To conclude the workshop, participants were provided with IOC resources, invited to take part in a feedback survey, and at the end of the session, participants were awarded with certificates of participation.
The Athletes 365 Workshop provided athletes with valuable skills and knowledge not only to develop crucial life and career skills but also to deepen their understanding of ethical and safe sporting practices.
