Bhutan Football Federation Inaugurates
New Headquarters and Technical Centre

A landmark moment in Bhutanese football history unfolded as the Bhutan Football Federation (BFF) officially inaugurated its new Headquarters and Technical Centre in Babena, Thimphu. Graced by His Royal Highness Prince Jigyel Ugyen Wangchuck and Dasho Ugyen Tsechup, President of BFF, this milestone marks a transformative leap in the nation’s football development.

The centre is designed to elevate football standards in Bhutan and features modern administrative offices, a fully equipped technical centre, classrooms, meeting rooms, a cafeteria, and an integrated hostel capable of housing 40 individuals. This initiative is a pivotal part of the FIFA Forward Project, reinforcing FIFA’s commitment to enhancing global football infrastructure and fostering talent at all levels.

Dasho Ugyen Tsechup, President of BFF, reflected on the deeper impact of this achievement:

“Today is not just about inaugurating a building; it’s about taking a bold step toward the future of Bhutanese football. This Headquarters and Technical Centre will serve as the foundation for nurturing talent, fostering grassroots programs, and strengthening our national teams. Phuntsho Wangdi, Director of Operations, stated that this facility serves as the nerve center of the Bhutan Football Federation. It has been established as an operational hub to mobilize professional services and streamline the development process.

The Bhutan Olympic Committee also extended its warmest congratulations, acknowledging the progress Bhutanese football has made and the significance of this milestone in the country’s sporting history.
