Bhutan Olympic Committee and Tashi InfoComm Private Limited Sign Memorandum of Understanding

Thimphu, Bhutan – 17th March 2026

The Bhutan Olympic Committee (BOC) and TashiCell today formalized a strategic partnership through the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU), appointing TashiCell as the Official Telecommunications Partner of the BOC.

This partnership marks a significant step towards strengthening collaboration within Bhutan’s Olympic Movement while enhancing engagement with athletes, officials, and the wider sporting community.

As part of the partnership, TashiCell will receive prominent brand visibility across BOC events, platforms, and programmes. The company will also play an active role in national sporting initiatives, including Olympic Day celebrations, youth development programmes, and athlete-focused campaigns.

Speaking on the occasion, Tashi Tshering, Managing Director, Tashi InfoComm Private Limited, expressed the company’s commitment to supporting the Bhutan Olympic Committee as a key organization dedicated to youth development through sport.

He further added that this partnership marks a significant milestone for both organizations and will help reach new heights together.

Sonam Karma Tshering, Secretary General of the Bhutan Olympic Committee, expressed appreciation to TashiCell for its strong commitment to youth development and for recognizing the importance of investing in the younger generation. He also highlighted the value of promoting healthy living and active lifestyles, encouraging TashiCell employees to embrace sports and lead healthier lives.

He further emphasized the Bhutan Olympic Committee’s vision of fostering a vibrant sporting culture in the country, inclusive of all individuals regardless of background.

The signing ceremony was attended by representatives from TashiCell, including Tashi Tshering, Managing Director, Tashi InfoComm Private Limited; Namgyal Wangchuk, General Manager, Business Operation and Customer Care Department (BOCCD); Sonam Jamtsho, Manager, Business Promotion, BOCCD; and Sonam Tobgay, Operation Officer, Business Operation, BOCCD, along with officials from the Bhutan Olympic Committee.

The partnership reflects a shared vision to contribute to nation-building by aligning sport with innovation and social responsibility, while strengthening sporting programmes and deepening connections between athletes and communities nationwide.
