Bhutan Represents at International Athletes’ Forum 2025 in Lausanne

The International Athletes’ Forum (#IAF2025) opened yesterday in Lausanne with over 400 athlete representatives from around the world convening under the guidance of the IOC Athletes’ Commission to shape the future of sport . Spanning two days, the forum centers on mental health, safe sport, anti‑doping, governance, and athlete rights.

Hosted by Olympian Jeanette Kwakye, the event features high‑profile panels, Q&A sessions, and interactive workshops—all livestreamed via IOC channels. Program highlights include a Q&A with outgoing IOC President Thomas Bach, as well as a fireside chat featuring IOC President‑elect Kirsty Coventry and outgoing Athletes’ Commission Chair Emma Terho.

A focal point of the Forum is the athletes’ united stance on anti‑doping integrity. Ahead of the event, the IOC Athletes’ Commission and WADA Athlete Council jointly denounced the controversial “Enhanced Games”—dubbed an “irresponsible and immoral” threat to clean sport.
