Bhutan Tennis Federation and Bhutan Wine Company Sign Partnership Agreement
for the 2026 Gyalsey Jigme Namgyal National Open Championship

Thimphu, Bhutan — 5th December. The Bhutan Tennis Federation (BTF) and the Bhutan Wine Company (BWC) have officially entered a partnership to deliver the 2026 Gyalsey Jigme Namgyal National Open Championship, Bhutan’s most prestigious tennis tournament. The agreement was signed today at the Bhutan Olympic Committee Office, marking a significant step toward elevating the future of competitive tennis in the country.
Widely regarded as the crown jewel of Bhutanese tennis, the Gyalsey Jigme Namgyal National Open Championship brings together the nation’s finest players and rising talents for a tournament that showcases skill, determination, and national pride. The 2026 edition aims to raise the bar even higher—promoting high-performance tennis, strengthening youth pathways, and inspiring the next generation of athletes.
At the signing ceremony, Mr. Tshering Namgay, Officiating General Secretary of the Bhutan Tennis Federation, highlighted the importance of the collaboration:
“This partnership is a meaningful boost for Bhutanese tennis. The 2026 Championship will not only celebrate excellence but also deepen grassroots engagement across the country. We extend our sincere appreciation to the Bhutan Wine Company for supporting the growth of the sport.”
