Bhutan to Showcase Young Talent at
OCA & OS Regional Forum 2025
Bhutan is set to take center stage in the global sports arena as it hosts the OCA & OS Regional Forum 2025, bringing together sports leaders, administrators, and stakeholders from across the region. However, this prestigious event is not just about high-level discussions—it will also shine a spotlight on Bhutan’s young talent, with 355 students from four pilot schools—Dechencholing, Chundu, Woochu, and Khangkhu—actively participating.
The forum will feature a series of engaging side programs aimed at fostering youth involvement and promoting Olympic values, offering students a rare opportunity to showcase their talents on an international platform.
One of the key initiatives of the forum, the Youth Reporter Program, is designed to equip young students with journalism and media skills.
Two outstanding youth reporters from each school will attend the official press conference, covering key discussions and providing fresh perspectives on the forum’s developments.
Participants will undergo training in reporting, interviewing, and sports journalism, preparing them to report on global sporting events.
The top performers will receive prizes, and one boy and one girl will be selected to compete for ten exclusive spots at the Asian Games, a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to experience international sports coverage firsthand.
Bhutan’s young artists will also get the chance to make their mark through a high-profile art competition, reflecting the spirit of sports and the Olympic movement.
Students from the four pilot schools will submit their best artwork, with the top five pieces from each school selected for exhibition at the forum venue.
The final selection process will take place on April 2, led by representatives from AINAGOC, OCA, and the Bhutan Olympic Committee (BOC).
Winners will be honored with prizes and public recognition, ensuring their work reaches a wider audience.
Hosting the OCA & OS Regional Forum 2025 is a significant milestone for Bhutan, further strengthening its position in the international sports community.
The inclusion of youth-driven programs demonstrates Bhutan’s commitment to developing future sports leaders, journalists, and artists.
The forum will also serve as a platform for Bhutanese youth to interact with global experts, gaining insights into sports governance, Olympic values, and media representation.
By integrating education, creativity, and sports, the initiative aims to inspire long-term youth engagement in sports and cultural activities.
