Bhutanese Archers Set to Compete in
the 2025 Asia Cup in Bangkok
The Bhutanese archery team is preparing to participate in the 2025 Asia Cup-World Ranking Tournament, Stage I, scheduled from February 16 to 23 in Bangkok, Thailand. The team, comprising archers Lam Dorji, Karma Lhendup, Kinley Tshering, and Sonam Penjor, will be led by Head Coach Park Youngsook.
The event will commence with official practice sessions on February 17, accompanied by the team manager’s meeting and equipment inspection. The qualification rounds are set for February 18, where individual and team rankings will be determined.
Head Coach Park Youngsook expressed confidence, stating, “We will give our best.” Archer Lam Dorji added, “It’s a great platform for us, and the team is looking forward.”
The Asia Cup-World Ranking Tournament is a significant event in the archery calendar, attracting top talent from across the continent. Participating teams will engage in various categories, including recurve and compound divisions, aiming to improve their world rankings.
