BeSA and DoEE Join Hands to Advance Esports and Youth Opportunities in Bhutan
The Bhutan Esports Association (BeSA), a member of the Bhutan Olympic Committee, formally signed a Strategic Partnership Agreement with the Department of Employment and Entrepreneurship (DoEE) under the Ministry of Industry, Commerce and Employment on March 26, 2026, during the inauguration of the Bhutan Esports National Championship 2026 (BeNC) in Thimphu.
This partnership has been established to jointly organise and implement BeNC 2026, with a strong focus on promoting youth entrepreneurship, supporting startup creation, and generating employment opportunities within Bhutan’s growing digital and esports ecosystem.
Through this collaboration, both organisations aim to create pathways for young people to develop market-relevant skills, foster innovation, and actively participate in emerging digital industries. The initiative aligns with national priorities to strengthen Bhutan’s presence in the regional and global digital economy.
The signing marks a significant step forward in leveraging esports as a platform for talent development, economic opportunity, and youth engagement while reinforcing multi-sector collaboration in advancing Bhutan’s digital future. The Department of Employment and Entrepreneurship (DoEE) is the principal industry development partner for the ongoing Bhutan Esports National Championship 2026 (BeNC 2026).
