Bhutan Archers Gear Up for Asian Championship with Exhibition Match
The Bhutan Archery Federation (BAF) on 4th November 2025 held a Compound and Recurve Archery Exhibition Match at the Langjophakha Archery Range in Thimphu. The event was organized as part of the pre-tournament build-up for the national team ahead of the 24th Asian Archery Championship 2025, scheduled to take place in Bangladesh from 7th to 14th November 2025.
The exhibition match brought together Bhutan’s top archers to sharpen their skills and strengthen team coordination before the continental competition. It also provided coaches with an opportunity to assess athletes’ form and mental readiness under match conditions.
The Bhutanese delegation for the Asian Championship will include coaches Mr. Ajeet and Mr. Tashi Tshering for the Compound category, along with Ms. Younten Zangmo as part of the coaching team. Representing Bhutan in the Recurve category are Mr. Kinley Tshering, Mr. Sonam Penjor, and Mr. Lam Dorji. The Compound category will feature Mr. Tandin Dorji, Ms. Dorji Dolma, Mr. Kezang Norbu, Mr. Tshetum Gaytshey, and Mr. Khendrup.
Although the event was held without public attendance, it served as a crucial platform for the athletes to gain competitive exposure and fine-tune their performance ahead of the Asian Championship. Coaches expressed optimism about the team’s preparation, emphasizing focus, discipline, and consistency as key factors for success at the regional level.
