Bhutan Delegation Participates in CDM Seminar Ahead of 20th Asian Games

Nagoya, Japan – The Bhutan Olympic Committee successfully participated in the Chefs de Mission (CDM) seminar for the upcoming 20th Asian Games, scheduled from 19th September to 4th October 2026 in Aichi-Nagoya. The seminar, a key preparatory event, brought together delegation leaders from across Asia to ensure smooth participation in the Games.

Bhutan’s CDM representatives engaged in sessions covering vital aspects of the Games, including competition regulations, athlete accreditation, logistical planning, medical support, security protocols, and emergency management. The interactive program also offered Bhutanese officials the opportunity to visit key venues and discuss operational details with the Organizing Committee, enhancing coordination and readiness for the delegation.

In addition to the seminar, Bhutan’s delegation attended the vibrant “1 Year to Go” countdown ceremony at the iconic Nagoya Tower. The event showcased cultural performances, traditional music, and a colorful celebration to mark the final year of preparation for the continent’s largest multi-sport event.

“The seminar provided invaluable guidance and practical knowledge to ensure our athletes and officials are fully prepared for the Asian Games,” said the Bhutan CDM. “Attending the countdown ceremony was a proud moment, highlighting Bhutan’s commitment to actively participating in this prestigious event.”
