Thomas Bach at Olympic House Lausanne, Switzerland – On December 6th, His Royal Highness Prince Jigyel Ugyen Wangchuck, Vice President of the Olympic Council of Asia (OCA) and a member of the International Olympic Committee (IOC), led a high-level delegation to meet His Excellency Thomas Bach at the iconic Olympic House in Lausanne. Representing OCA President Raja Randhir Singh, HRH Prince Jigyel Ugyen Wangchuck expressed the Council’s gratitude and admiration for H.E. Thomas Bach’s exceptional leadership during his tenure as IOC President. Accompanying HRH were distinguished delegates including Mr. Ser Miang Ng, IOC Member from Singapore, and Mr. Hussein Al Mussalam, Director General of the OCA. The visit was a gesture of appreciation for H.E. Thomas Bach’s extraordinary contributions to the Olympic Movement. This year’s event offers a unique opportunity for participants to take on a scenic route through the picturesque mountains of Bhutan. RTC-BOC Sports Scholarship, 2021

(Application for RTC-BOC Sports Scholarship 2021 will open shortly) Royal Thimphu College (RTC) & the Bhutan Olympic Committee (BOC) jointly announce the availability of up to 6 sports scholarships for the academic year 2021. The scholarship will cover all tuition and boarding costs for 3 years. Applicants who meet the RTC admissions criteria with outstanding sporting achievements may apply. Preference will be given to the National Athletes who have represented the country. Applicants should register online for admission and then submit the RTC-BOC sports scholarship form in hard copy. The forms can be downloaded from the RTC or BOC websites or can be collected from the RTC city office at Room # 56, Chang Lam Plaza, Thimphu or the RTC admissions office at Ngabiphu.  The Application form can be submitted at the RTC office, Ngabiphu or the RTC City Office at Chang Lam Plaza. The scholarship awards will be announced on the RTC website after the selection.
