His Royal Highness Dasho Jigyel Ugyen Wangchuck graced the Viksit Bharat Run 2025, held on 28th September 2025 at the Embassy of India in Thimphu. The event was jointly flagged off by His Royal Highness and the newly appointed Ambassador of India to Bhutan, His Excellency Mr. Sandeep Arya.

The event saw enthusiastic participation from staff and athletes of the Bhutan Olympic Committee, members of the National Sports Federations, the Bhutanese community, diplomatic representatives, friends of India, and officials from the Embassy of India in Bhutan. A pledge affirming commitment and collective efforts towards a Developed India by 2047 was administered by His Excellency Mr. Sandeep Arya to members of the Indian community and embassy officials.

In alignment with Plant4Mother – “Ek Ped Maa ke Naam” and the Service Fortnight “Sewa Pakhwada”, His Royal Highness Dasho Jigyel Ugyen Wangchuck and His Excellency Mr. Sandeep Arya also planted saplings at the India House Eco Park, joined by members of the Indian community. The symbolic act honored mothers while underscoring the importance of protecting Mother Earth and promoting a greener environment.
