HRH Prince Jigyel Ugyen Wangchuck Grants Audience and Felicitates Cricketer Sonam Yeshey on Historic World Record
His Royal Highness Prince Jigyel Ugyen Wangchuck graciously granted an audience to cricketer Sonam Yeshey and members of the Bhutan Cricket family, and felicitated them on Sonam’s historic world record achievement in international cricket.
During the audience, HRH congratulated Sonam Yeshey for setting a new world record in Twenty20 International (T20I) cricket, recording the best bowling figures in the history of the format with 8 wickets for just 7 runs. The remarkable feat was achieved during Bhutan’s T20I match against Myanmar in Gelephu and has brought widespread international recognition to Bhutanese sport.
HRH extended congratulations to the entire Bhutan Cricket fraternity, including the management, technical team, and all those involved in supporting the team.
