The sun was out, the greens were immaculate, and the tension was palpable as the final day of qualifying unfolded at Dragpoi Golf Course. Over the past three days, a record 173 golfers have battled in groups of 4–5, each playing two rounds of 9 holes per day under the stroke play format. Every shot counted, every putt mattered, as players aimed to stay under the 6-over handicap cut.
After fierce competition, 87 golfers have now qualified for the two-day final rounds starting tomorrow.
Nett Score Highlights – Final Qualifying Round
The handicap-adjusted Nett leaderboard separated the strategic masters from the field:
Top 3 Nett Performers:
- Col Tenzin Wangda (Hcp 13) – Nett -9 ✅ Masterclass in course management, dominating the day.
- Tandin Wangyel (Hcp 7) – Nett -6 ✅ Smooth, controlled, and aggressive when it counted.
- Col Tshewang Rinzin (Hcp 13) – Nett -5 ✅ Consistent, strong under pressure, and a force to watch in the finals.
Course Challenge: Hole 11 proved a formidable test, with high scores highlighting Dragpoi’s tactical demands. Nett scores ranged from -9 to +12, emphasizing the course’s mix of precision and risk.

Top 3 Gross Performers:
