Bhutan is preparing to host the 16th Mr. Bhutan 2027 and the 17th South Asian Bodybuilding Championship 2027 in Gelephu Mindfulness City, alongside the confirmed 18th World Bodybuilding and Physique Sports Championship in Thimphu in November 2027. Taken together, these events mark a return not just of competition, but of Bhutan’s re-entry into the international bodybuilding landscape after more than a decade of absence.

A three day workshop on Nutrition, Training and Bodybuilding Science concluded today in Thimphu, leaving a lasting impact on the 46 participants who took part. Held under the theme “Master the Art of Intelligent Training and Nutrition Precision,” the program combined science, practice, and real world application in a way many described as transformative.

Over the years, Jigme became more than a player; he became a leader. As captain, he guided Bhutan’s T20 International side, leading in 9 matches and securing 4 wins. More importantly, he helped build confidence and identity for Bhutan cricket on the international stage.

The 7th Gyalsey Jigme Namgyel National Open Tennis Championships 2026 concluded today at the National Tennis Centre in Changlimithang, Thimphu, with a strong finish under bright and pleasant weather conditions.
