Over the two days, participants explored key sports planning concepts, including structured training plans, periodization, goal setting, and competition pathway mapping. They also presented demo training plans, gaining practical insights into how systematic and evidence-based planning can enhance athlete development and ensure peak performance. The course further emphasized aligning National Sports Federations’ training programs with the national BEAST High Performance structure to ensure consistency, strengthen preparation, and improve competitive results in major sporting events.
At the closing session, all participants were awarded certificates of participation in recognition of their successful completion of the course. The initiative reinforces ongoing efforts to build a stronger and more professional sports development system in Bhutan. By investing in structured capacity-building programs, the long-term goal remains to elevate coaching standards, strengthen competitive performance, and support Bhutanese athletes in achieving excellence on regional and international platforms.
