Team Bhutan has safely landed in Bahrain to compete in the 3rd Asian Youth Games! Departing Thimphu at 3:00 AM and flying out of Paro at 7:00 AM on October 21, 2025. After a long day of travel, the delegation finally arrived in Bahrain at 11:00 PM local time, tired but triumphant, and is now settling in to prepare for the exciting competition ahead. The spirit of the Dragon has officially landed!

The 14th Royal Wedding Golf Tournament concluded yesterday after five days of competitive golf at Drukpoi Golf Course in Dechencholing. The tournament began on 15th October 2025, with the first three days (15th–17th October) for qualifying rounds, followed by the final two days (18th–19th October) of championship play, where top golfers competed for the titles.

The 2025 National Federation Volleyball League came to an electrifying conclusion at the Thimphu Open Basketball Court in Changlimithang, where the final was played on 19th October.

The sun was out, the greens were immaculate, and the tension was palpable as the final day of qualifying unfolded at Dragpoi Golf Course. Over the past three days, a record 173 golfers have battled in groups of 4–5, each playing two rounds of 9 holes per day under the stroke play format.

The atmosphere at the 14th Royal Wedding Anniversary Golf Tournament is electric — a perfect blend of precision, pressure, and passion. Since the first drive teed off on 15th October, golfers have been grinding through the qualifying rounds with unwavering focus. Now, with two days down and one to go before the cut, every stroke carries the weight of destiny.

The Bhutan Basketball Federation successfully hosted its first-ever South Asian Basketball Council meeting on October 12, 2025, in Thimphu. Delegates from FIBA Asia, India, Bangladesh, Nepal, Sri Lanka, Maldives, and Pakistan attended the event, marking a significant milestone in regional sports collaboration.

Bhutan proudly joins the 3rd Asian Youth Games (AYG) 2025, to be held from 22nd to 31st October in Manama, Bahrain. Organized by the Olympic Council of Asia, the event will bring together over 4,000 young athletes from 45 nations across 26 sports disciplines.

Representing Bhutan, nine young athletes will compete in athletics, boxing, judo, taekwondo, swimming, and muay, showcasing the nation’s growing commitment to youth sports and international competition. Guided by the Bhutan Olympic Committee and their respective federations, Team Bhutan’s participation reflects dedication, preparation, and the spirit of excellence as they take on Asia’s best at the continental stage.

The calm greens of Drakpoi Golf Course in Dechencholing are ready to echo with the sound of drives and putts as Bhutan’s most anticipated golf event — the 14th Edition of the Royal Wedding Anniversary Golf Tournament — tees off tomorrow, October 15.

The Bhutan/ATF U14 Tennis Tournament 2025 officially got underway at the National Tennis Centre in Thimphu, inaugurated by the Hon’ble Minister of Education and Skills Development, Lyonpo Yeezang Dee Thapa. Bringing together young players from Hong Kong (China), Australia, India, and Bhutan, the week-long event aims to foster regional friendship and sporting excellence. Organized by the Bhutan Tennis Federation with support from the Asian Tennis Federation and the Bhutan Olympic Committee, the tournament provides a vital platform for youth players to showcase their skills and gain international experience.

The Mr. Bhutan 2025 Championship lit up Clock Tower Square with energy, excitement, and inspiration as athletes from across the country took the stage to showcase their strength, dedication, and passion for fitness.
