His Royal Highness Prince Jigyel Ugyen Wangchuck Attends 60th International Swimming Hall of Fame Awards in Singapore

Singapore, July 2025 — His Royal Highness Prince Jigyel Ugyen Wangchuck, President of the Bhutan Olympic Committee, Member of the International Olympic Committee (IOC), and Vice President of the Olympic Council of Asia (OCA), is currently in Singapore for the 60th International Swimming Hall of Fame Awards Ceremony.

The event honored Dr. Husain Al Mussalam, President of World Aquatics and Director General of the OCA, in recognition of his outstanding contributions to the global advancement of aquatic sports. During the ceremony, His Royal Highness also had the opportunity to engage with Mrs. Kirsty Coventry, President of the International Olympic Committee, in a meaningful exchange on the future of the Olympic Movement.

On the sidelines of the event, His Royal Highness met with H.E. Sheikh Joaan bin Hamad Al Thani, President of the Qatar Olympic Committee and Senior Vice President of the Association of National Olympic Committees (ANOC). Their discussion centered on collaborative opportunities to promote the development of sport across Asia, underscoring a shared commitment to fostering regional partnerships and strengthening the Olympic spirit throughout the continent.
