Bhutan is set to make cricketing history as the national team prepares to host Bahrain for the first time in a five-match T20I series in Gelephu. With strong words of confidence from both camps, the stage is set for a competitive and meaningful showdown on Bhutanese soil.

The Bhutan Tennis Federation (BTF) and Bhutan Wine Company (BWC) have officially partnered to host the 2026 Gyalsey Jigme Namgyal National Open Championship, Bhutan’s premier tennis tournament. Yesterday, twenty elite athletes officially signed high-performance contracts under the Bhutan Elite Athlete Support and Training (BEAST) Program for the 2025–2026 cycle. The cohort comprises one Gold, ten Silver, and nine Bronze athletes, with runner Kinley Tshering receiving a special upgrade to Gold Tier in recognition of his outstanding international performance. The signing event reflects the Bhutan Olympic Committee’s commitment to developing athlete support systems, establishing comprehensive high-performance routes, and advancing Bhutan’s long-term success on the world sporting scene.
