Bhutan is gearing up for a sports extravaganza as the 17th National School Games 2025 hits Sarpang! This year, 53 schools and 420 talented athletes from across the country will come together for an unforgettable celebration of youth, skill, and sportsmanship.
The competition will feature six exciting sports: chess, volleyball, basketball, badminton, aerobics, and table tennis, giving students a platform to showcase their talent, determination, and teamwork.
For generations, school sport has been a space for play, recreation, and local pride. What is evolving now is the intentional design of sport as a tool for youth development. Winning matches is only one part of the story; growth, learning, teamwork, and integrity are the outcomes that matter most.
