The Bhutan Tennis Federation (BTF) and Bhutan Wine Company (BWC) have officially partnered to host the 2026 Gyalsey Jigme Namgyal National Open Championship, Bhutan’s premier tennis tournament. The collaboration aims to elevate competitive tennis in Bhutan, strengthen grassroots player development, and deliver an enhanced national championship experience.

On 30th November 2025, 34 BEAST athletes from six national sports federations underwent comprehensive Body Biometric Testing and Nutrition Assessment at the National Coaching Academy of the Bhutan Olympic Committee. Yesterday, twenty elite athletes officially signed high-performance contracts under the Bhutan Elite Athlete Support and Training (BEAST) Program for the 2025–2026 cycle. The cohort comprises one Gold, ten Silver, and nine Bronze athletes, with runner Kinley Tshering receiving a special upgrade to Gold Tier in recognition of his outstanding international performance. The signing event reflects the Bhutan Olympic Committee’s commitment to developing athlete support systems, establishing comprehensive high-performance routes, and advancing Bhutan’s long-term success on the world sporting scene.
